Today 9 October 2021, we did some reflection work courtesy of We’re Not Really Stranger’s Healing Edition deck. I’m a big fan of the deck and highly recommend it for lots of different reasons: to start conversations, to engage deeper on topics we don’t normally engage in, or just to think about the questions in our own time.
On stream, we did what I call Catch and Release, letting folks type their responses first, and when prompted, hit the enter button, giving everyone a chance to write without editing. We also set up for ourselves the space to reflect and connect, and we have a !godeeper command so folks can be encouraged to tell us more. Only if they want to.
I’m going to list some of the prompts here for folks only because people asked. I am not going to list all of them, as that’s not my place to do. Please consider buying the deck if you found this to be helpful in your development/practice.

Get something off your chest. Write it out. 1 minute. Don’t overthink it.
I want to be very clear, when doing this work, make sure that you create the space and protect it, especially when people are being vulnerable with sharing. Also make sure that you allow folks to opt in and opt out of the questions. Don’t force people to respond. It’s hard to stay focused as the streamer as well as manage the chat AND check the emotions of the chat, but it behooves you as the host to learn how to do all of these things and do them well in the name of protecting your audience.
This was popular enough with the chat that we’ll be doing more of the Healing Edition next week. Looking forward to having you join us!
